VIC: Magistrate rules out media gag on Bruno Grollo

MELBOURNE, Feb 25 AAP - A magistrate today ruled out an application for an unprecedented
media gag on millionaire property developer Bruno Grollo, as he committed Grollo to trial for
tax fraud.

The prosecution had sought the gag as a condition of Mr Grollo's bail.

But magistrate David McLennan said he was unable to accept the prosecution's assertions
that Mr Grollo had engaged in a concerted media campaign aimed at engendering community
sympathy while facing a fraud charge over $26 million in allegedly undeclared …
